Inexpensive Chandeliers That Will Make Your Room Shine

Decorating your home doesn't have to leave you flat broke (no really it doesn't).

Lots of people think that Interior Decorating is only for the rich, but I'm here to tell you that it isn't...yep you heard right..IT ISN'T.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, I can now move forward with proving to you that decorating your home can be a realistic and  affordable investment.  Below I've put together some inexpensive chandeliers that have recently caught my eye----all for under $200 buckaross!! (you can thank me later! :-))

Unlike my 4 year old, Landon, I'm feeling generous, so I'll share some simple tips to keep in mind when selecting a chandelier:

Mood

A good question to ask yourself is, "How do I want to feel when I walk into my room and does this piece make me feel that way?" This tactic will also be extremely helpful when you come across an item on sale - is it really the perfect piece or is it the price tag that makes it appear to be perfect?

Size

Make sure you are buying a chandelier that fits the size of your room (including height). You don't want to end up walking dead smack into your chandelier because you bought a 3 foot tall chandelier for your 8 foot tall ceiling (that will only leave you with 5 feet give or take of walking room--remember you have to also account for the height of your mounting hardware). Now unless you and all your family/friends are 4 foot tall then this will work, but the average person is much taller.

Wattage Max

This ties into the first tip: Mood. Review the specifications of the chandelier that you are eyeing. If the chandelier only has a max wattage of 40, but you are looking to set a bright and airy mood for your room, then you might want to pass on it and keep looking for something that will fit the bill not just the look you are going for.

Lighting is one of the many affordable ways to complete your room and make it come alive.
